Steelers as an undrafted free agent on April 27, 2008. COLLEGE: Black spent his
first two years at the East Mississippi Community College before transferring to
the University of Memphis in 2006…was presented one of the Chris Faros Most
Improved Award at the 2008 Blue-Gray Game…received the first-ever offensive Top
Newcomer Award at the 2007 Blue-Gray Game…played
in 26 career games at Memphis, recording 78 receptions for 763 yards with a long
of 80 yards and three touchdowns…recorded
a total of seven TDs. 2008
(Memphis): Played in all 13
games…finished third on the team receiving list with 36 receptions for 286 yards
and two TDs…rushed for 81 yards with a long of 36 yards and recorded four
rushing touchdowns…recorded a individual game-high three rushing touchdowns

every game starting all but the Arkansas State contest...averaged 36.7 yards
receiving per game and 11.4 yards per reception...finished the season fourth on
the team in receiving yards with 477 and third in receptions with 42. 2006

receptions for 481 yards and four touchdowns…was listed by Rivals.com as one of
the top 100 junior college recruits…part of an offense that ranked fifth in the
MACJC averaging 312 yards of total offense per game…logged 152 yards receiving
and two touchdowns on five catches in his final game of the season…named the
MACJ/Region 23 Offensive Player of the Week…named to the MACJC North All-State

Vestavia Hills High School in Birmingham, Ala.…lettered at Vestavia Hills High
School...tallied 802 yards and seven TDs on 41 receptions and rolled off 126
yards and three TDs on 12 carries as a senior at VHHS...also returned 17 kicks
for 468 yards and two touchdowns and was a three-star recruit and ranked as the
No. 15 prospect in the state of Alabama by Rivals.com...averaged 21.5 yards on
his 87 catches and also totaled 12 career receiving scores during his career…his
cousin is Terrell Owens...son of Anita Black.
