Steelers Place Three Players on Physically Unable to Perform List

LATROBE, Pa. ─ The Steelers opened their 2008 training camp today and placed three players on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.

The team announced this afternoon that nose tackle Casey Hampton (conditioning), safety Troy Polamalu (hamstring) and offensive guard Chris Kemoeatu (triceps) were all placed on the PUP list and will be ineligible to practice. No timetable was given for how long they will remain on the PUP list.

The Steelers will hold their first practices of the 2008 season on Monday, July 28. The team’s afternoon practice, which begins at 2:55 p.m., is open to the public.
