The Pittsburgh Steelers invite fans to help kickoff the 2008 season at the 2008 Steelers Fan Blitz, presented by Comcast!  This exciting draft day event will be held on Saturday April 26 from 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Heinz Field.  All fans will receive a 2007 Steelers Team Photo and a 2008 Steelers Fan Blitz brochure outlining the day's activities upon entering Heinz Field.  2008 Steelers schedules will be available at the Comcast booth in the South Plaza.  

Admission is $10 for Adults, $5 for children 12 and under.   Tickets are now on sale at the Steelers Sideline Stores at the Monroeville Mall, South Hills Village, Pittsburgh Mills, Prime Outlets at Grove City and Heinz Field as well as www.ticketmaster.com and all Giant Eagle ticket master outlets.  Tickets will also be available on the day of the event beginning at 12:00 pm at the Steelers Ticket Office at Gate B.

  • Current and former Steelers Player autographs will be held in the Coca-Cola Great Hall, East Club Lounge, West Rotunda and the West Concourse areas.    Players currently scheduled to appear include Brett Keisel, James Harrison, Jeff Reed, Daniel Sepulveda, Nick Eason, Cody Boyd, Anthony Trucks, Jason Capizzi, Darnell Stapleton, Scott Paxson, Justin Vincent, Billy Latsko, Matt Lentz, Jared Retkofsky, Dwight White, John Banaszak, Jon Kolb, Gerry Mullins, Mike Logan, Louis Lipps, Randy Grossman, Dwayne Woodruff, Mike Wagner, Andy Russell, Matt Bahr, Robin Cole and Craig Bingham.  Please check weekly for an updated player autograph list.  The player’s schedules, locations and times are subject to change. 

  • Steely McBeam will be present the entire day to meet and greet Steelers fans. 

  • The Steelers Locker Room will feature the opportunity for fans to try on Steelers equipment of a Steelers player.  Steelers Digest will have a table with copies of their latest issue and a special subScription offer of $10 off with a free Steelers drawstring backpack. 

  • Register to win great prizes all afternoon from the Comcast Prize Tent in the South Plaza. We will also feature the Comcast QB Challenge contest off the field on the northwest sideline area with the winner receiving four tickets to the 2008 regular season home opener and a $100 Pittsburgh Steelers gift card.

  • Fans will be permitted on the playing field to attempt field goals throughout the day on the north end of the field.  

  • The South Plaza will have the Steelers Sideline Store open featuring the best selection of Pittsburgh Steelers Merchandise as well as portable merchandise stands available throughout Heinz Field.  Bank of America, the American Respiratory Alliance, Cricket, Chevrolet, Tums and the Pittsburgh Passion will have booths in the South Plaza with product information available for all fans.  Game Faces will be face painting in the South Plaza to gear up for the new season. 

  • The East Club Lounge will be open to the public and feature special activities for fans of all ages. Comcast will be bringing Cartoon Network’s characters Scooby and Shaggy to the East Club Lounge, as well as inflatable activities, games, and a special Comcast/Steelers 24/7 drawstring backpack giveaway.   We will have the Schneider Downs Pick the Draft Pick Contest and the Schneider Downs Draft Day GM Contest in the East Club Lounge for our “Draft nicks” to participate.  WDVE-FM will also be broadcasting live throughout the day.

  • The Coca-Cola Great Hall will feature the Steelers Sideline Store and concession stands.  A live band will perform on stage during the event. 

  • The Daktronics board will feature Steelers TV, Steelers videos plus live coverage of the 2008 NFL Draft on the NFL Network and ESPN.
