The Steelers wanted to make sure that pets are not forgotten this holiday season, especially with the cold weather here, so they teamed with Del Monte Foods and FedEx Ground to help some area pet shelters.

A total of 15 shelters in the Western Pennsylvania received a donation of Del Monte’s pet food Snausages to be used for the animals that they care for.

Del Monte also made a $10,000 donation to Animal Friends and Steelers cornerback Deshea Townsend and his daughter Shaylon, who are featured in the Steelers and they pets calendar with their dog Dior, were on hand at Animal Friends to help with the delivery.

Make sure during the holidays and the cold winter months to take care of your pets and protect them from the elements.
