Youth football was a focus
for the Steelers over the weekend as the team hosted the Boys & Girls Club
Flag Football Championship and the team championship round of the NFL Punt, Pass
& Kick competition.
On Saturday, youth from the
Boys & Girls Club held their games at the team’s indoor practice facility at
the UPMC Sports Performance Complex on the South Side. Steelers players,
including rookies Daniel Sepulveda and Darnell Stapleton were on hand to give
the kids encouragement and cheer them on.
Sunday brought the NFL
Punt, Pass & Kick competition to the practice facility at the UPMC Sports
Performance Complex in the morning and then at halftime of the Steelers-Browns
game the competitors put on an exhibition.
