Steelers Sign Offensive Lineman Sean Mahan To
Five-Year Deal
PITTSBURGH — The Steelers
signed offensive lineman Sean Mahan to a five-year contract, the team
announced today. Financial terms of the deal were not
disclosed.
Mahan (6-3, 301) spent the first four years
of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and became a full-time starter
during the 2004 season. For his career, he has started a total of 36 games,
including 28 at guard and eight at center. Mahan was drafted by the Buccaneers
in the fifth round (168th overall) of the 2003 NFL Draft out of Notre
Dame.
"We are happy to add Sean to our roster,"
said Steelers' Director of Football Operations Kevin Colbert. "Having started at
both guard and center, he will provide competition through his experience and
versatility."
