The Pennsylvania
Department of Health and the Pittsburgh Steelers are working together to sponsor
the 2006 "Smoke Free" Free Agent event in the Pittsburgh Steelers Locker Room at
Heinz Field on Wednesday, November 15, from 7-9 p.m. Doors will open for fans at
6:30 p.m. at Gate A. The event is free to the
public.
Pittsburgh Steelers
wide receiver Hines Ward will be signing "Smoke Free" Free Agent certificates
only for fans to either quit smoking or not start smoking. Ward will not be
signing any other items. Steelers starting free safety Ryan Clark will be
signing autographs for all fans in attendance.
Other features for this
event include displays and information from the PA Dept. of Health and the
American Respiratory Alliance on the dangers of smoking. There
will also be a locker display of both Clark and Ward for photo opportunities to
the public. 96.1 KISS-FM will be broadcasting live with Bonics until
9 p.m.
