HEAD COACH BILL COWHER

(on the game)  "First off I got to congratulate Jacksonville.  They played a heck of a football game.  We couldn't make any plays on offense and they made enough on defense to win the game.  Kudos to them, like I just told the team on a short week we need to put it behind us and come in Wednesday ready to go for a divisional game against Cincinnati at home on Sunday."

(on what frustrated him the most about not being able to move the ball)  "I don't know, certainly we got nothing in the running game.  I felt we had some drops early.  I think if we complete some of those balls Ben (Roethlisberger) is able to get into a little bit of a rhythm.   We couldn't get off the field on some 3rd downs and try to get the field position back."

(on if he had any explanation why the running game couldn't get on track) "I don't have any right now."

(on containing Fred Taylor most of the game except for a few runs)  "Yeah that's the kind of running back he is.  He's one of those guys who you stop and stop and stop and then he'll test you.  I didn't think we tackled real well tonight."

(on if he remembers a time when his offense was thoroughly dominated)  "No."

(on the challenge of Jacksonville's big receivers)  "I didn't really see that playing much of a factor to be honest with you."

(on if there was any point where Ben felt bad enough that you were thinking about not playing him)  "No."

(on if any chance Ben (Roethlisberger) was rusty)  "Yeah I think there is a degree of truth to that.  At the same time like I said I thought he started the game and was throwing the ball very accurately and I felt like he was making some good throws.  I thought we dropped some balls where if we catch them it gives us a little rhythm on offense.  I give a lot of credit to Jacksonville.  They played a very good football game."

(on if next week's game against a divisional foe is critical to win)  "It's an important game."
