Steelers Tackle Colon Signs One-Year Deal
PITTSBURGH —Restricted free agent offensive tackle Willie Colon signed a one-year contract to remain with Steelers, the team announced today. Financial terms of the deal were not released.
Colon, who will enter his fourth year in the NFL, has started every game at right tackle for the Steelers over the past two seasons, including 34 regular season contests and four postseason games. He was originally selected by the Steelers in the fourth round (131st overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft out of Hofstra.
Colon first entered the Steelers starting lineup at right tackle during the final two games of his rookie season due to an injury to starting right tackle Max Starks. He has remained the starter at the position ever since.
