Ticket Sale Date And Accompanying Acts Announced For
Kenny Chesney’s 2009 Sun City Carnival Tour At Heinz Field
PITTSBURGH — Tickets for reigning Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year Kenny Chesney’s 2009 Sun City Carnival Tour will go on sale Saturday, Feb. 14, at 10 a.m.
Tickets for the Saturday, June 6 concert may be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (412) 323-1919.
The accompanying acts for the Kenny Chesney concert have also been announced. Sugarland, winners of two ACM awards in 2008 for their hit single “Stay”, and 2000 ACM Vocal Duo of the Year, Montgomery Gentry, headline the opening acts. Miranda Lambert, whose most recent album, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, won the 2008 ACM Album of the Year award, and newcomer Lady Antebellum, will also perform.
Chesney, the owner of 15 number-one hits, including “Everybody Wants to go to Heaven” from his most recent album, Lucky Old Sun, is slated to perform 50 dates across the country in 2009.
He has performed three times at Heinz Field in recent years (2005, 2007 and 2008) with his concerts having attracted more than 150,000 fans.
“This is our fourth time in Pittsburgh at Heinz Field, and it’s always been one of those markets where the fans come out and make us feel like a big part of their summer,” said Chesney.
Tickets for the Sun City Carnival Tour will start at $29.00 as part of Kenny’s economic stimulus package.
