Steelers in the third round (96th overall) of the 2009 NFL
Draft. COLLEGE:
Lewis
was the team's active leader for starts with 48, appearing in 50 games at Oregon
State...recorded 117 tackles (81 solos), a three-yard sack and five stops for
losses totaling 20 yards...forced one fumble and deflected 30 passes...gained 72
yards on seven interceptions (10.29 avg.) that included one
touchdown…majored
in exercise and sport science. 2008: Academic All-Pac 10
first-team choice…All-Pac 10 honorable mention...started all 13 games at left
cornerback, leading the team with four interceptions for 29 yards in returns,
including a touchdown...recorded 35 tackles (27 solos) with a stop for a 3-yard
loss…deflected nine passes...part of a unit that ranked second in the Pac 10 in
total defense (312.15 ypg, 23rd nationally) and third in pass defense (180.92
ypg, 22nd in the country).
2007: Academic All-Pac 10
selection for third consecutive year...started 11 games at left cornerback...led
team with three interceptions for 43 yards in returns...added 15 tackles (12
solos) and deflected two passes.
2006: Earned first-team
Academic All-Pac 10 Conference accolades...started 13 games at left
cornerback...collected 22 tackles (17 solos) that included a three-yard sack and
two stops behind the line of scrimmage...finished second on the team with eight
pass deflections.
2005: Freshman
All-American third-team selection by College Football News, earning the first
of four Academic AII-Pac 10 Conference honors...took over left cornerback
duties, as he started 11 games...recorded 45 tackles (25 solos) with two stops
for minus 13 yards and a forced fumble...led the Beavers with a career-high 11
pass deflections. 2004: Redshirted
as a freshman...named co-Defensive Scout Team MVP. PERSONAL:

O. Perry Walker High School in New Orleans, La.…rated as one of the top 100
cornerback prospects in the country by Rivals.com...first-team All-Metro and
All-League choice as a senior...made 75 tackles with four quarterback sacks and
seven interceptions…also returned five punts for 180 yards and five kickoffs for
150 yards in 2003...registered 71 tackles with two interceptions as a junior and
posted 54 tackles as a sophomore...graduated with academic honors, attaining a
